Earlier South Carolina standout Bruce Ellington has found a new home.
Ellington is signed with Detroit Lions, the team announced Tuesday. The NNL Network's Ian Rapoport was the first to report the signature. His signing comes less than a week after he was released by Houston Texans. He was injured with a hamstring injury but has been restored and cleaned to practice for different teams.
The terms of Ellington's contract were not disclosed.
Ellington performed in three matches with the Texans this season and took eight passes for 92 meters and a TD. Last year with Houston, he took 29 passes for 330 meters and two points.
In four seasons, Ellington has captured 56 passes for 637 yards and five touchdowns. The Lions become Ellington's third team. He also played two years with San Francisco 49ers.
