Parents at the school received an email today (Sunday 6 December), confirming that the school will be closed from tomorrow (Monday 9 December).
This comes after the school became aware of an increasing number of employees and students who tested positive for the virus.
The email reads: “After a significant number of positive cases from Covid-19 over the weekend involving both staff and students from different year categories, we have made the decision to close the school tomorrow – Monday, December 7 for a complete deep cleaning.
“Once we have confirmed the situation with both the local authority and public health, we will update you on the plans for the rest of the period.
“We will of course continue to offer our complete distance learning for all year classes.
“Sincere excuses for the disturbance this will cause your families, but unfortunately we have no choice given the current situation.”
The school also confirmed the closure on Twitter.
