Amman – Royal Society for Health Awareness was organized on Saturday, November 24, an awareness campaign on diabetes prevention in Al Abdali Boulevard in connection with the celebration of World Diabetes Day.
The event was attended by 300 employees of the Royal Society for Health Awareness and their families, as well as interested persons as well as recipients of the Jordan Diabetes Association and recipients of the Community Clinics of the Royal Society for Health Awareness.
This event is part of the global initiative set up by the World Diabetes Organization to raise awareness about diabetes and prevention.
The activity, which started at 11 o'clock and continued until 14 o'clock, included tests of blood sugar levels, retina, sugar intake, carbon dioxide, glucose, blood pressure and comedy activities by Nabil Sawalha, as well as some sports activities and a corner for children.
Participants were given access to dietary advice that should be followed to prevent or treat diabetes optimally and to listen to the experience of some success stories for patients who could handle the disease ideally.
