Samsung gives 4 TB SSD for a good 500 francs

28 November 2018 –
Samsung has introduced its latest SSD series, SSD 860 QVO. This promises great capacity at affordable prices. 1 TB is already available for 160 francs.

Samsung has announced its latest SSD series, which will provide terabytes of capacity while competing with HDD. The Samsung SSD 860 QVO is available in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB, with MSRP at 160, (1TB), 271 (2TB) and 542 (4TB) respectively. This is quite attractive to an SSD, compared to a regular HDD, for example, you get 4 TB in retail for just over 100 francs, but still significantly more expensive.

The new internal 2.5-inch Samsung SSD drives have a SATA 6Gbps interface and use Samsung's latest 4-bit V-NAND technology. As a sequential read and write speed, Samsung provides up to 550 or 520 megabytes per second. In addition, Samsung offers a three-year warranty and 1440 Total Bytes Written (TBW) for the 4 TB version and the equivalent of 720 TBW and 360 TBW for 2 TB and 1 TB versions.
