Linus Wahlqvist is drawn with a stress fracture in the space suit.
Now Sweden is gone for the rest of the year.
"The injury has prevented me from exercising without pain," he told German Bild.
Linus Wahlqvist left IFK Norrköping this summer for play in the 2nd Bundesliga. There he wrote for Dynamo Dresden who is currently in tenth place in the league.
"It has been very good. As a team we have been upochned. We have done a lot of good matches, but we have had difficulty closing the matches and had a bit of courage forwards. Personally, it feels good and I have played a lot now. I feel very well in the city and in the club, the Swedish told the Football Channel earlier this November.
On Sunday Wahlqvist played 90 minutes in Dresden's 2-0 win against Ingolstadt. But now there will be no more matches in 2018. The right back is drawn with a stress fracture in the space suit and is now forced to rest for the rest of the year.
"Linus's disappearance is a message that comes all but timely," said Dresden coach Maik Walpurgis to German Bild.
Wahlqvist himself is not particularly worried.
"The damage is not dramatic, but it has prevented me from exercising without pain. The leg needs rest and I have the patience required for it to do it.
During the season, Wahlqvist has made 14 appearances in the league game and was responsible for two performances.
