The volume of housing loans at the end of September amounted to EUR 26.5 billion. The annual volume of loans increased by almost 2.5 billion euros, an increase from month to month by 161 million euros. These are current data from the Slovak National Bank (NBS).
Construction savings amounted to EUR 2.38 billion at the end of the nine months, with construction and interbank loans. Since the beginning of the year, the Slovakian regulator has adapted the reporting of loan data.
The reason for this is the legislative change in mortgage lending and the subsequent changes in reporting since the beginning of the year. So new times are not available for subcategories of home loans.
As regards the individual banks' share of housing loans, the largest part of Slovenská sporiteľňa was 27.73 percent. The result of VUB with 20.38 percent share and third place is Tatra banka with a share of 14.3 percent.
For construction savings loans, the largest building savings bank was the largest contributor. It represented 82.75 percent. This was followed by the remaining companies in Slovakia, namely Wüstenrot Building Savings Bank and ČSOB Building Savings Bank.
