The MIT Entrepreneurship Forum in the Arab World launched the 14th digital edition of the MIT Forum Arab Startup Competition by inviting Arab entrepreneurs from all sectors to submit applications to participate through the annual competition website, the oldest of its kind in MENA region, specifically designed to support Arab innovations.
The competition is organized in collaboration with “Community Jameel”, the global charity that manages several initiatives aimed at creating a positive change in society and achieving economic sustainability, and in collaboration with MIT Entrepreneurship Forum with “Zain Group”, the leading company in digital innovation in the Middle East and Africa, as a partner My digital strategy and for 14 years the competition has awarded cash prizes worth more than $ 1.28 million to winning entrepreneurs and provided a platform for them to present and implement their ideas.
Registration opened on August 29 on the competition’s official website and will continue until December 15, 2020, and the organizers will run a series of introductory and campaigns that introduce entrepreneurs to the competition and help them with their wishes, and those interested can register for the next introductory series which will take place on the site. The MIT Forum Arab Startup Competition has been transformed into an annual event hosted by thousands of young entrepreneurs in the Arab world, who believe it is a platform that enables them to present, test and develop their creative ideas. Every year, the competition takes place in three tracks: the idea track, the starting track and the track for social entrepreneurship.
The competition awards cash prizes totaling $ 160,000, as the teams qualifying for the semifinals participate in a series of preparatory activities that include training courses, mentoring sessions and workshops. In the final stage of the competition, the jury selects 9 final winners (3 teams). For each track).
