Informed health sources in Kuwait expected today, Sunday, that the Gulf state is closest to the entry of the vaccine “Pfizer”, which is intended for the treatment of the emerging “Corona” virus.

Sources told the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas that “the Pfizer vaccine will not enter Kuwait until the second half of next December, especially after Pfizer and its partner, Biontech, applied for a state of emergency the day before yesterday, Friday. in the United States, to use the (Covid-19) vaccine.

Kuwaiti health sources revealed to the newspaper that they are following the latest developments of vaccines that have entered the final stages of testing, in order to review their results and the extent of official accreditation from specialized international health organizations.

She stated that the “Moderna, Pfizer and Oxford-AstraZeneca” vaccines are about to be approved by international health authorities and organizations to start distributing them regionally, among the 9 vaccines that went into the final stages to prepare for approval and licensing after clinical trials.

Kuwaiti media reported on Friday that receiving the “Corona” vaccine, if approved and arriving in the country, will be voluntary and not mandatory for any specific group, despite the fact that Minister of Health Dr.

The Kuwaiti newspaper “Al-Qabas” cited informed government sources that it was perceived that the target groups would receive the approved vaccine in the early stages of its arrival, excluding the obligation for medical staff and healthcare agencies to receive it.

Yesterday, Saturday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced the monitoring of 426 cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19) in the last 24 hours. This means that the total registration amounts to 139,734.

The ministry also announced, according to its website, that there were two deaths due to complications from infection with the virus and 511 recoveries from the disease. This results in a total of 863 deaths and a total of 131560 recoveries.

The total number of cases currently being treated in hospitals in Kuwait is 7311 and the total number of intensive care cases is 84.

Kuwait ranks sixth on the list of Arab countries for the new Corona virus infections. And in 44th place on the list of international injuries.
