Called proportion of HIV infected population in Bashkortostan –


In Bashkiria and Ufa, the number of HIV infected has decreased. This was reported today in Rospotrebnadzor in Belarus.

For 10 months this year, 54.2 HIV infected persons were registered per 100,000 people in the Republic. Compared to the same period last year, the number of cases decreased by 3.7 percent (from 56.3 to 54.2 per 100,000 people).

In Ufa, the figure is 43.84 infected per 100,000 citizens. Compared with the same period in 2017, the incidence of AIDS decreased by 11.7 percent (from 49.6 to 43.8 per 100,000 people).

Now, 21 154 HIV infected are registered in the Republic of Belarus: 12 881 men and 8 273 women. Of these, 11,887 people live in cities, 6,811 in villages and 1 653 people in UFSIN in the Russian Federation in Belarus. 813 people with HIV do not have a particular residence.
