The seven cars that will fight for the prestigious trophy are the Alpine A110, the Citroen C5 Aircross, the Ford Focus, the Jaguar I-Pace, the Kia Ceed, the Mercedes-Benz Class A and the Peugeot 508.
The winner will be nominated by a jury consisting of 60 car journalists from 23 European countries and announced in March at the Geneva Motor Show

On the list of models eligible for this year's ticket prize in 201 in Europe was also Dacia Duster, but Mioveni SUV manufacturers did not get enough votes to reach the final.
In 2018, this year's European car, which has been granted since 1964, has returned to the Volvo XC40.
