PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as presidential adviser to Clark Flagship programs and projects.
Presidential spokesman Harry Roque confirmed this on Thursday.
“We confirm that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has signed the appointment of former President and former Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as Presidential Adviser on the Clark Flagship Program and Project, with a compensation level of one peso (P1.00) per year on 24 November. 2020. ”
Roque said Arroyo’s wisdom and experience as former president “along with her great concern” for Pampanga would be valuable as she would assist the Duterte administration in planning and implementing projects to transform Clark into “the next major metropolis in Asia.”
Roque also confirmed that on November 24, President Duterte signed the appointment of Aimee Ferolino-Ampoloquio as Commissioner for Elections and the appointment of Gilbert Cruz as a permanent member of the Dangerous Drugs Board.
