ABC passes the Middle spin-off starring Kiwi Kim Crossman pilot

ABC has gone on a spin-off to Middle starring kiwi actress Kimberley Crossman.

Sue Sue in the middle went into development after The middle s ninth and last season. It would follow Sue Heck (played by Eden Sher) as she navigates after life after moving home.

Crossman became known as a series regularly with Chris Diamantopoulos, Finesse Mitchell, Aaron Branch and Brock Ciarlelli, who would continue to play Sue's best friend Brad Bottig.

Middle ended with a flash forward, Sue shows married to neighbor Sean Donohue (played by Beau Winick), theoretically laying the foundation for Sue Sue in the city.

Kim Crossman has been regularly on the NZ comedy stage with three seasons of Funny Girls to her name.

It is possible that the studio is looking for another buyer.

Crossman is often home in Auckland, where she plays episodes of Funny girls and The project.
