During the oral arguments, the complainants and the civilian party assured that the expertise of the National Laboratory Technical Laboratory confirmed that it was indeed Taoufiq Bouachrine that appeared on the recorded video recordings. The prosecutor's defense had a different opinion. According to Mohamed Ziane, the sequences seized by the authorities were filmed and projected during the Ramadan month "in the dark", which does not allow to distinguish the actors.
The Royal Judgment Laboratory's "judgment" is unsuccessful: "The 65 videos are authentic". Grouped into a hard disk belonging to Bouachrine, according to the prosecution, they arrested the day of his arrest. Bouachrine, for its part, denied any connection to the seized video that stated that he was not the owner of the seized material (camera and hard drive).

At the trial, the evidence of the complainants was the most important evidence against the prisoner even though some of the complainants were revoked. Prior to certain testimonies, Bouachrine preferred to leave the court of appeal in Casablanca. In the absence of a clear defense strategy, Bouachrin's lawyers tried to "police" the trial and declared that Bouachrine was subjected to revenge and political-legal action.
