Shanghai Art Festival is a great scene for the presentation of Lithuanian culture


By celebrating the 30th anniversary of the restoration of independence 2020 and celebrating the greatest possible presentation of its culture to the world, Lithuania will be able to participate in the Shanghai International Art Festival with special public rights.

The terms of participation and the program were discussed at the meeting with the chairman of the Shanghai International Arts Festival Catherine J. Wang, Minister of Culture Liana Ruokytė-Jonsson.

"We consider the Shanghai Art Festival as one of the best organized events of this kind throughout the East Asian region, and we are prepared to take advantage of our opportunities for our culture and artists."

Festival President C.J Wang noted that his organizers are known in Lithuania's experience, successfully participated in international cultural festivals, as well as in the ongoing China.

The Shanghai International Arts Festival is important for artists, cultural creators and organizations. During the visit, Minister L. Ruokytė-Jonsson also met Shanghai Art Director at the Shanghai Drama Center, Tian Shui, and discussed collaboration in theater, arranging tours, inviting directors and other joint projects.
