"What's your feeling after winning a fifth consecutive Constructor's title?
The guys have worked incredibly well for six years, it has been a good trip with them. We wrote a new story page with the team. If I had to leave Mercedes today, I would always remember that day and be a part of it and it's really cool. This year was a very difficult year and everyone in this team struggled so hard, stronger than ever. And we are also more united than ever. This is not normal when we have had success in previous years and we could log down. The guys continued to raise their level. This competition was very difficult for me. But I would definitely reach the goal and win for the team. It's fun to be there. All members of the team can now attend the latest winter season, knowing that they have won the world title and are legends.
How did your Grand Prix go overall?
I did not expect Red Bulls to be in progress today. I thought they would be in the same rhythm as us. But they were a bit faster. We had problems with the tires from the first step and they could handle the tires better than us. In the second stage I was on the mediator deck and I had trouble with the engine, so I just tried to drive over the finish line to the car.
Did you think you could resist Max Verstappen in the last rounds?
When Max passed me, it was not nice, but he had an accident with Ocon then and suddenly I was back in the lead. I was on the radio, I told my engineers: "I do not want to give up, tell me what to do." I pressed so hard at the end, I took all the risks to win. It's a big satisfaction, but I want to stay on this wave and win the next race as well. I'm just a link in the chain. The team gives me the tools and I try to do my best. I'm proud to get a little more than I need or can do. But that's why I live. "
"Max is the type to attack too much"
Lewis Hamilton responded to the clash between Max Verstappen and Esteban Ocon, which was significant for the outcome of the Grand Prix: "I saw the event occurring. It was not surprising that I would have had another sense of mind at (la) place (de Verstappen ) But fortunately he could continue, no one was injured. It was a racer incident, I guess. Max is the type that attacks too much, and sometimes we lose. "
