Dr Khaled Al-Dostawi, secretary of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and cooperation between Egypt and Bahrain in the field of electricity and renewable energy in support of and strengthening cooperation between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Arab States, The tenth meeting of the Egyptian-Bahrain Joint Committee was held in Manama on November 10-11, with the two Foreign Ministers chairman.
He pointed out that the Memorandum of Understanding contains many areas for future cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and the Bahrain Electricity and Water Authority, including the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of electricity generation, transmission and distribution projects, including the preparation of economic and technical feasibility studies. Consultation and research in the planning and development of the electrical system and the use of renewable energy in electricity production.
The Memorandum of Understanding also includes cooperation in the field of energy efficiency, preparation of tender documents, technical requirements and electricity supply documents in the solar and wind power network, rehabilitation of solar energy projects and power purchase agreements for the construction of IPPs containing the composite price.
He added that the memorandum of understanding includes training of personnel and capacity building technically and administratively.
He expressed the hope that the two countries could jointly run the two countries' development area through effective cooperation between them in different areas, in particular cooperation in electricity and renewable energy.
