The young man crept on the trolley and burned from the trolley. Doctors had to amputate the lower part of the body, including the pelvis – ČT24 – Czech television

Daniel Křeček decided two years ago to climb his friends with a railroad car and take a picture of him. Instead of selfie, however, a major accident occurred. "I first climbed and got electric shock. I fell between the trolleys, I broke my spine and started burning," said the young man.

While he survived the disturbance, he suffered an injury to the spinal cord and spinal cord, but he did not feel his feet. "My tissues were injured inside the legs. I started rotten meat," she adds. The infection is spread, nor did the amputation of both legs end. Eventually she reached the forehead, and then it was not avoided. In Motole, they have to do a hemicorpectomy, that is, a young man to get rid of the pelvis.

It is an extraordinary operation. In the Czech Republic, they have only done it on Bulovka since the turn of the century – in eleven cases. In the world for the first time, doctors have amputated the entire lower body in 1961.

A fifty percent chance of survival

It is not only an exceptional and demanding operation, but also a very risky intervention. The chance of survival is only fifty percent. "The risk of exercise is massive bleeding," explained the head of the surgical clinic at the Motol Faculty Hospital and the 2nd Faculty of Medicine Charles University Jiří Hoch.

The doctors spent a total of sixteen hours over the young man and replaced them with 22. "We tried to heal skin defects and used different methods, including hyperbaroxerapia for tissue arrest and improved healing," said the surgery of the head of the spinal assembly at Motol Hospital Jiří Kříž.

Finally, doctors succeeded. The operation ended even better than they hoped. "We lost 5.5 liters. Against this, we write in writing that the loss was less than half," says Jiří Hoch.

Daniel Křeček will now be able to go home – after two years he spent only a few short breaks at the hospital. Motola, however, returns for a special prosthesis. Life without the forehead and legs will not be easy; After surgery, two outlets in the stomach, reduce the abdominal cavity and reduce breathing capacity.
