The theory that the Wuhan laboratory where the new coronavirus probably originated belongs to the Glaxo company, which would be part of a chain of connection that stretches from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer to the investment fund manager BlackRock via Microsoft and Bill Gates, has been shared at least 1,500 times in Spanish since November 29 in social networks. The aforementioned Wuhan Institute of Virology has no relationship with Glaxo, but is owned by the Chinese government. Although Glaxo and Pfizer have formed a business alliance, they are still competitors.
“The world is a handkerchief !! The Chinese biological laboratory in Wuhan actually belongs to GLAXO, which by chance owns PFIZER, which manages the finances in BLACK ROCK, which by chance manages the finances in the Open Society of SOROS, which by chance is responsible for the interest of French AXA, whose German company WINTERTHUR built the Chinese laboratory accidentally bought by German ALLIANZ and which by chance has as a major shareholder VANGUARD, a BLACK ROCK shareholder who controls the CENTRAL BANKS and manages 1/3 of WORLD INVESTMENT CAPITAL which by chance is a major shareholder in MICROSOFT and GATES as a shareholder PFIZER and currently the first sponsor of WHO !!! The coincidences of life … Follow the money / Follow the money “says the text that users share on Facebook (1, 2).
The same text also circulates in Twitter and the first post found by him can be found in this Facebook post in Italian, November 12, attributed to a certain “Giuseppe Renda”.
A first Google search for this name found a Pfizer employee in Italy, according to his profile LinkedIn. AFP Factual contacted Renda without receiving a response from the publication date of this article.
Wuhan Institute of Virology
An investigation into the ownership of The Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) found no relationship with the Glaxo company. According to this note from the journal Nature 2017, the creation of the WIV laboratory P4, at the center of the controversy since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, was approved in 2003 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS, for its acronym in English) and built using the French International Center for Infectology Research (CIRI). WIV P4 opened in 2015.
Many theories say that virus was created on WIV P4, or so “he escaped” of. Donald Trump himself said in April “Have proof” that the pandemic originates from the said institute, but does not present them.
AFP Factual has already verified claims related to the virus created in a laboratory or manufactured with human intervention.
Both in the entries of the inauguration and in Pages (1) with company information on WIV’s website do not mention the participation of any foreign company. The institute is dependent on CAS, which in turn is due to the Chinese government.
A search on the site for The Open Society Foundations, founded by George Soros, show that there are no mentions from the French insurance company AXA linked to monetary efforts, only one where it is mentioned as an example of lawsuits from companies to protect their intellectual property rights. Soros’ philanthropic organization is also not shown in AXA’s organization charts.
However, Winterthur Group was a Swiss (not German) insurance company was acquired by AXA in 2006. A Google search does not yield results of an alleged construction of a laboratory in China by the defunct company.
On the other hand, Allianz points out on its website that in China it has offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. There are no mentions of Wuhan or a company laboratory based in that country.
On the multinational company information page Glaxo in China also does not mention its involvement in WIV or any other center in Wuhan. Glaxo has two joint ventures in the Asian country and is located in the cities of Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin.
Glaxo and Pfizer
According to CNN Money, Pfizer is majority controlled by The Vanguard Group, which owns 7.67% of its shares. The GlaxoSmithKline company does not appear on the list of shareholders in Pfizer, even if the Capital Research & Management Fund does. However, it owns just under 0.67% of Glaxo, with which the correlation made by viral publications is not correct.
In December In 2018, the companies merged into a joint venture and in 2019 created the company Gsk Consumer Healthcare with the participation of both, a concrete alliance for the commercialization of pharmaceutical products such as Voltaren, Panadol and Advil. However, this was not a purchase of one company over the other and both are still competitors in the pharmaceutical sector.
BlackRock, Pfizer, Soros and other relationships
Black stone is the world’s leading fund manager and as such owns shares in tens of thousands of companies (including Pfizer) and has thousands of investors, including tycoon George Soros, among its many wallets.
Pfizer also received money from Strategic Investment Fund for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The foundation invested in the pharmaceutical company to expand access to Sayana, its injectable contraceptive, to developing countries. It was also reported in September 2020 that it would collaborate with several of the companies working to develop a covid-19 vaccine. However, neither the foundation nor Gates are among Pfizer’s major shareholders.
The Gates Foundation is also one of the main contributors to the WHO and accounts for 11.65% of the money the agency receives. However, it is not “Main sponsor”, because the money contributed by the German government represents 12.18% of income.
In summary, there is no evidence that Wuhan WIV is owned by the Glaxo company, nor is it true that it is the owner of Pfizer. Likewise, there are no registers of the relationship between the insurance companies Winterthur and Axa to WIV. On the other hand, the fund manager BlackRock, which owns part of the Pfizer share, participates as an investor in George Soros, as well as many other world assets. In addition, Bill and Melinda Gates have invested in Pfizer for the development of specific projects but are not major shareholders. Finally, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funds WHO, but they are not the primary funders.
