Non-primary manufacturing grew 3.39% between January and September according to INEI | economy


The production of manufacturing sector It grew 1.19%, in September 2018, accumulating an increase in the January-September period of 4.33%, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI ).

The company reported that this positive result was due to higher production of primary manufacturing sub-sector (3.52%) and non-primary manufacturing survey (0.52%), with increases for the January-September period of 7% and 3.39% respectively.

The main branches of the non-primary manufacturing industry that stood for their dynamics were the manufacture of metal products for structural use and manufacture of plastics.

In September, the production of metal products for structural use increased by 25.8% and recorded the highest interest rate so far this year. In addition, in the period January to September, 2018 increased by 7.6%.

This result was produced by major manufacturing of frames, industrial frames, prefabricated modules, metal doors and windows, for the internal and external markets, as is the case with Bolivia, Ecuador and honduras.

Manufacturing of plastic products also increased by 11.3% in September and cumulative six months of consecutive growth.

Similarly, the production of plastic products in different varieties increased by 4.6% in the period January to September and became the highest cumulative interest rate so far this year.

Growth was due to major manufacturing of plastic products for packaging, for construction work and various plastic products, goods for transport, packaging and packaging to meet internal and external demand against Mexico, Argentina, Puerto Rico, United States, Bolivia, Chile, Panama and Guatemala.
