Diego Valencia suffered a horrible accident during training at the Universidad Católica high school in San Carlos de Apoquindo.
Because of the strong winds on Friday night, an iron hit the front of the front and caused a fracture in his skull.
His coach Gustavo Quinteros gave details of the accident: "We finished the training when a strong wind rises and the roof of the gym breaks loose. An iron that flew 30 or 40 meters was the one that beat Diego Valencia and César Fuentes".
"Thank God, when he jumps on the floor, he meets Fuentes, otherwise it would have been a bigger problem for Diego," the strategist put into conversation with La Tercera.
In addition, Quinteros was emphatically pointing out that the fault of the accident was not due to infrastructure problems: "It is a matter of nature, the wind was very strong and that was what caused some of the roof to extinguish and pull the iron".
According to information from the club, Valencia could be released this Sunday.
