CUT accuses inconsistencies and will appeal the election board's ruling that interrupts the election | national

Accusing inconsistencies in the ruling, Units Workers Union's Board (CUT), will appeal the decision from the first election in the metropolitan area, which canceled the election in May 2017, where Bárbara Figueroa was elected president of the organization.

The presumed irregularities in the election were condemned by – along with others – the president of the Starbucks Union, who asked humility to the current directive.

Then the leaders asked that the process be challenged, as it had already happened with the election in August 2016, which had also been interrupted.

The court ordered that "The elected leaders must immediately cease to exercise their duties, with the only exception from the President, the Secretary-General, Treasurer and Vice President ".

However, organizer Barbara Figueroa confirmed that appeal the verdict and that no leader will leave the management because, according to the directive, she is legitimate.

the president of the Starbucks Union and member of the Recover CUT Movement, Andrés Giordano, was one of those who presented the allegations of alleged irregularities in the election. He valued the judgment court and asked humility for the present multifunctional directive.

"It is necessary to reconsider unionism," he said.
