Red Dead Online on PS4 and Xbox One finally adds a requested feature: character reset. There is no word when the feature arrives, but Rockstar Games says it will be added soon and allow players to restore the look of their character without changing their progress. Why this was not in the game at the launch disturbed many fans, but in any case it will finally come and soon.
As you will know, while Red Dead Redemption 2 has become widely known as one of the greatest games of this generation, Red Dead Online has struggled a little. It was launched pretty naked legs, but fans were patient with it first, because it was just in beta. However, it remained in beta for months, and not only did Rockstar Games do some content, but it was slow to update the game, and often made the game worse when it did. Then the game came out of beta, and there was still not a lot of content. But since it came out of beta, it changes slowly but surely. Red Dead Online still has a long way to go to get to GTA Online levels, but there will at least be there.
As for the addition of character recovery, it may not seem like a big deal, but fans have requested it for a while. It is not a game switch, but it is small things like this that make a core society happy, which means that they play, which in turn attracts new players.
Red Dead Online available for free on PS4 and Xbox One if you own Red Dead Redemption 2which you must own to play it. In connection with publishing there has been no official word on any additional ports, but a PC port has leaked several times and will hopefully come soon.
