The animation team behind the new movie "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" knew that it had to be different.

"I think we all knew that the first question we would be eliminated from the port is why we're doing another" Spider-Man? " "Says Joshua Beveridge, director of character animation at Sony Pictures Imageworks, with a laugh.

"We wanted it visually obvious, because there are all kinds of things you can do in animation you can not do on any other medium."

After six live-action films of 15 years with webbed crusades, the team felt the new offer that was necessary to look completely unique. A new animation style also featured the story, centering on Miles Morales, a Brooklyn teenager of African American and Puerto Ricas legacy who gets a piece of a radioactive spider.

The animators, mainly based in Vancouver, came to an end with a creative technique that praised. They used computer-generated animation to create an aesthetic that looks like a mix of traditional manuscript animation and CG, also finding out a way to do handwriting linework on top of three-dimensional characters.

"We only combine the aesthetic combination of the mixed media feeling," he said. "I think many of the ingredients we used have been in other places, but this combination is new."

Beveridge, 36, is based in Culver City, California, but the majority of the 180-person animation team on this film worked in Vancouver, he said.

"That is where the muscle and the heart are. That's where the whole team is. That's where the movie was actually made," he said.

Vancouver is booming as a graphics hotspot with approximately 60 animation and visual effects studios. It helps the city to be versatile, has strong art schools and is an attractive place to live, said Beveridge.

The film shoots boundaries with its content as well as its style. Based on cartoon characters created by author Brian Michael Bendis and the artist Sara Pichelli follows the film Morales as he develops superpowers, including camouflage, stick to objects and incredible hearing.

But when criminal mastermind, Kingpin develops a nuclear supercollider that opens a portal to another universe, different versions of Spider-Man are drawn to Morale's world. An older Peter Parker appears along with a number of new spider heroes, including anime inspired Peni Parker.

Beveridge said there are dramatic moments in history that help lift animated movies as a genre.

"The animation has always been transformed into the children's table, feels like it's a movie just for kids, and because Spider-Man surpasses that expectation – he's somebody else just aware of to begin with – we need to make our appearances a little more mature and make it even more for everyone. "

The movie won rave reviews before its release on Friday. Beveridge said he was relieved after being nervous about how it would be received.

"We knew we were taking risks. We wanted something different, and when you live with these decisions for a long time in secret, you end up doubting that you are living too," he said.

"One of the lessons I go away with after finishing the project is: In art, if you live in fear, it probably means you're on something."

Spanish prosecutors have accused pop star Shakira of tax evasion and claimed she failed to pay more than 14.5 million euros between 2012 and 2014. The Colombian singer denied the charges.

The charges published Friday claimed that Shakira listed the Bahamas as her official residence for tax purposes during these years but was actually living in Spain with her partner, Spanish football player Gerard Pique.

Tax rates are much lower in Bahamas than in Spain.

Shakira said in a statement Friday through her representatives that she was not legally resident in Spain in the current years and did not owe anything to the Spanish tax authorities, who use her as "scapegoat" to scare other taxpayers to be clean.

Prosecutors in Barcelona said that Shakira's travels abroad were short periods due to professional commitments, while most of the year stayed in Spain. They want her to pay taxes in Spain on her worldwide income.

Shakira officially moved to Spain for fiscal purposes 2015, having had two children of Pique.

A judge will judge if there is sufficient evidence that Shakira will be the trial.

Prosecutors want Shakira to pay a band of 19.4 million euros – the amount they say they are guilty of tax plus 33 percent according to Spanish law. Otherwise, they recommend a court to freeze their assets to that amount.

Shakira was named in "Paradise Papers" leaks as detailed offshore taxation systems of many high-profile individuals, including musical celebrities like Madonna and U2's Bono.

The documents were obtained by German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung and examined by Spanish news website El Confidencial.

Spain's tax authorities referred its probe to the Barcelona prosecutor's office a year ago.

Keira Knightley received an OBE for his drama and charity services from British Royal Prince Charles in Buckingham Palace on Thursday.

The Atonement Star received the order of the British Empire after being named in the Queen's Queen's Honeymoon List as a recipient of glory.

She became famous for her Hollywood film career and for her work with charity organizations.

Keira was wearing a pale yellow tweed costume by Chanel and a nighty matching boater had headed her head and posed for pictures before the event with her parents, drama mother Sharman Macdonald and actor Will Knightley and her husband, Klaxon's star James Righton.

While Chanel's ambassador Keira was presented perfectly for his special moment with Prince Charles, James took a step in the King's Protocol by not having tie with his gray morning suit.

The star has twice been nominated for an Oscar, who received a Best Actress in 2006 for Pride and Prejudice and a nomination for best-performing actress for 2014's Imitation Game.

The 33-year-old has been a visible supporter of charity organizations Oxfam and WaterAid.

During a trip to a refugee camp in Southern Sudan in 2014, Keira asked for help for those who live in poor conditions in Jonglei. The conflict had driven 1.5 million people from their homes to temporary camps.

"They love their children as we do, they want education for them, they want to give them a safe home and freedom to run for safety," said the Colette star at that time. "Instead, they look powerless, because their toddlers play at the wastewater" there is nowhere else for them. "

Lenny Kravitz has admitted that he recently had the same outfit for 30 days in a row.

The Grammy Award-winning Rocker showed on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday night to promote his new album Raise Vibration, which he recorded in a small town in the Bahamas.

During the chat, Lenny explained that he enjoyed writing the songs surrounded by nature and can sometimes go for a whole month without a ward hobby.

"I will be quite honest with you, I will come into this case because when you are on tour and when you do all these things you change clothes every night, you can not wear the same costume you last night" he said. "So I get there and I like," Screw it, I do not change clothes. I do not want to change clothes. "I had the same jeans and jeans shirt for 30 days. When it comes to the point where I can not stand myself, I throw out a snake and take my bottle of Dr. Bronner's soap … and I wash them, twist them out, throw them on a rock, let them dry for an hour, put them back and carry them for another 30 days. "

Lenny continued to explain that he is easy to discover on the island because of his unconventional attire. But the locals are so "mild" that they do not care less about what he carries or what he does.

"They know that I'm doing this thing in this world here but they do not care they are not impressed. And they think it's fun when fans are looking for me because they say" We're looking for Lenny Kravitz, where can we find him ? (They say), "Lenny, are you looking for Lenny? The guy who does not bathe and wear the same clothes for a month and has no shoes?" "Laughed at the 54-year-old.

In addition, Lenny joked that his neighbors rarely care when inviting celebrity friends, even though they are one of The Rolling Stones.

"I took Mick Jagger to my city once and I took him to a friend's house and we sat down and the guy offered us something to drink and he looked at Mick and went," What are you doing then? "He crumbled.

Taylor Swift allegedly used hidden face recognition technology at one of her exhibits earlier this year to identify known stalkers.

Bad Blood hitmaker has been obsessed with stalker problems and in previous years a man was arrested with a knife and ammo outside her home in Los Angeles.

According to Rolling Stone, Taylor's concert on Rose Bowl in Pasadena in May passed a kiosk that showed starred rehearsals – where a hidden camera secretly scanned their faces to cross-reference them with a database of hundreds of famous stalks held on a Nashville "command post."

Mike Downing, executive consultant of Oak View Group, an advisory board for major concerts, tells the newspaper: "Everyone who passed by would stop staring at it, and the software would start working."

He claims he has participated in the concert to witness a demonstration of the new anti-stalker software. Bosses at Ticketmaster are also considering using face recognition technology at concerts, but say they will be "cautious" about implementation due to integrity.

Taylor's representatives did not respond to a request for comments.

Last week, a man who broke into Swift's New York Townhouse was imprisoned and slept for six months after being guilty of a number of attempts at burglary and a number of criminal despises.

Obsessed fans are a constant threat to the 29-year-old singer who, in addition to unwanted home visits, was arrested at one of her exhibitions in Austin, Texas in 2016 after bombarding her family with smelly e-mails.

Other stars who have been careful with stalkers are the British pop star Lily Allen, who has talked about trauma she suffered in the hands of her plagiarist, Kendall Jenner and Katy Perry.

Jason Momoa struggled to find work after playing in Game of Thrones as casting directors assumed he did not speak English.

Hunky Hawaiian won legions of fans like nomadic warrior King Khal Drogo in the hit fantasy series – but spoke mainly in an invented language.

As a result, when the 39-year-old was killed at the end of the season one, he fought for acting.

"I did not get much work after that," he told U.K., chat program host Graham Norton. "I mean what you do with it – he (his character) does not speak English, he's not funny and he hurts only people. I played that character well so it was a little challenging afterwards. People would literally say" Wow, you're talking English! & # 39; "

Jason, who has two daughters, Lola Iolani, 11, and Nakoa-Wolf, 10, with her actor Lisa Bonet, confesses that his probably starmaking roll left him struggling for money.

He explains, "2013 and I was literally broken – but the future would be bright! I could not say anything to anyone for several years and I can not keep secret to saving my life. It was very difficult for me so I'm happy to we are here now. "

Fortunately, he is now the star of the superhero blower Aquaman – but he has saved to see his biggest moment until he can do it with his children.

"I have two children between the ages of 10 and 11," adds. "They were heading for the whole movie and they made me promise I would not watch it until I can watch them with them. I want to share it with my children and sit and hold my hands – it's a rare moment for a father and generally they can not look at the things I do! "

Aquaman is in cinemas now.

Jennifer Lopez's mother was fought in the minds of the fans who encrypted to get an autograph from the singer on Wednesday.

The actor swarmed by fans when she arrived outside Sirius Radio in New York to promote her new movie Second Act on Wednesday. As the singer went through the chaotic audience, autographs signed for fans, her mother Guadalupe followed her and accidentally hit the head of an autograph hunter who featured a photo on a clipboard.

Video footage shows Guadalupe holds the right side of her head with her hand as Jennifer stops signing and looks worried about her mom. The security guards then create a broader path through the amount of Jennifer and Guadalupe's head inside, with Jennifer placing the arm around her mom's shoulders as she leads her through the chaos and shakes her head as she walks.

It's not the only close fans that Jennifer has had during his publicity tour of the second act. On Tuesday she headed to the AMC Bay Plaza 13 Cinema in Bronx, New York, where she grew up to surprise the fans and watched an advanced movie screen, and when she hugged fans and stood for selfies, a man boldly moved to go in for a kiss on the cheek.

Jennifer, who laughed at the meeting, explained for entertainment tonight why she chose the place.

"We're going to surprise everyone! We're in Bronx, this was where I used to go to the movies!" She said. "I think people know I like to take that Bronx flag with me wherever I go, Jenny from the neighborhood, it's just who I am. Kanye West does not send Christmas to Drake.

West appeared to reignit a feast with the comrade in a series of tweets on Thursday where he claimed that Drake had called for an attempt to threaten him.

West wrote "so dragon if something happens to me or someone from my family you're the first suspect – then cut the hard call."

West's alleged Drake was behind the crowd rushing on stage and stopping with rapper Pusha T floating during a Toronto concert in November.

Drake did not send an answer. An email request comment was sent to a Drake representative.

The rapids have had an ongoing sweep this year, but West had apologized to Drake in September.

A movie does not have to be great for having a good moment.

They are not mutually exclusive, but a good movie moment is something more ephemeral – a few minutes of pure, unexplained joy or even jerkless unbelief that you want to return immediately. It's the kind of scene you're fast forward, what kind of thing you want to watch with friends and family, the kind that becomes a meme.

Here we look at some of our favorite movie moments from 2018 that remained with us long after the credits rolled. Possible spoilers can follow.

EVERYWHERE WORKS THE STEPS OF "A STAR IS CHILDREN"

Certainly literal goosebumps are a good sign that you've just seen a rather amazing movie moment. That's what happens every time I look at the electric "Shallow" scene in "A Star Is Born" and especially where Lady Gaga's Ally takes a deep breath and goes out to stage to join Bradley Cooper & # 39; s Jackson Maine and sing his song in front of thousands of people.

Earlier and present meet in "Mom MIA! HERE WILL WE GO AGAIN"

Okay, so "Mom Mia! Here we go again" can hardly qualify as a movie, but it has enough smile-inducing moments to give it a pass. In addition, is there a funeral end to a movie this year than when the young and old versions of all characters meet to sing and dance to "Super Trouper"? A little voice in your head may ask: Are they all dead? And why is there so much metallic fabric in the sky? But then Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgard and Colin Firth step under a bar, beer in hand and tops zipped down to their navel buttons and logical request just kind of operation.

RECREATING "THE SHINING" IN "READY PLAYER ONE"

In a movie full of fanboy deportations and film nostalgia, Steven Spielberg got geek out with his own idol, Stanley Kubrick, by recreating "The Shining's" Overlook Hotel in "Ready Player One" and putting his own spin on it. Spielberg would never let tribute come in the way of his own story, but he decides for a short blink instead of full on rehash.

KILLMONGER CHALLENGES IN "BLACK PANTHER" CHALLA

It's not often that you're really wondering what's going to happen in a great superhero movie, but "Black Panther" kept the audience guessing and no more than in one of the top ten and most exciting scenes of the year when Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killmonger – one of the year's biggest film cages – challenges Chadwick Boseman's Challa for the throne, and dismisses the sitting ruler first with his words before turning to the kingdom.

Pool party in the "eighth grade"

Is there anything more uncomfortable than a middle school pool party? How about someone you were just invited to because a popular girl's mom has a love for your daddy? That's what Kayla (Elsie Fisher) faces in Bo Burnham's "eighth grade". Burnham's camera puts the crowd there with Kayla as she walks through the house and into the carnival of souls outside, and we're left to just crush and stumble for her through every outrageous moment.

DECLARATION HARRY POTTER GANG THEORY IN THE "HAT YOU GIVE"

"The Hate U Give" is a drama, no doubt, but there are moments of wonderful, deep animation that the audience may not realize from just logging or dropping alone. In fact, some of the best scenes are easier, including the moment where Starr Carters (Amandla Stenberg) no-nonsense dad, Mav Carter (Russell Hornsby) explains how Hogwart's house is like a gang.

JAILHOUSE SPIRIT IN "PADDINGTON 2"

The enormously handsome bear from Darkest Peru faces one of his biggest challenges when he gets into the mud with some unfair cell blood friends, but a little marmalade magic in the kitchen increases everyone's spirits, including Brendan Gleeson's Knuckles McGinty.

EDDIE BROCK IS A LOBSTER IN "VENOM"

Was anyone more complete, fully engaged in such a bizarre character this year as Tom Hardy was like Eddie Brock / Venom? Look no further than the out-of-the-scene there, ravenously hungry, Eddie jumps into a live lobster tank at a fancy restaurant and takes a piece of a crustacean. It's a picture I wish I could actually forget, and yet …

BASTIAN GETS BLOODY IN "PLAY NIGHT"

Olivia West Highland White Terrier enhanced her star status in "Widows", but her breakout role was just earlier this year as Jesse Plemon's dog, Bastian, in "Game Night", where she has the urge to be in the same room as a bleeding Max (Jason Bateman), one of the nicer moments of the year. Max notices that his blood drops on the snowy white pup and tries to scrub it off with water. Of course, this only makes the little Westie pink and wet and scratched to shake.

MODHERHOOD ASSEMBLY IN "TULLY"

Pump. Feed. Replace the diaper. Discard the diaper. Repeat. Jason Reitman and Star Charlize Theron go through the monotonous repetition of life with a newborn in a beautifully designed montly in Tully. It's fun and dark and true. Because sometimes you're just so tired, you accidentally turn your phone on your baby.

The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra has chosen some of the most loved holiday stories to celebrate Yuletide's spirit through words and music.

In his Yuletide Tales concerts, one will show talent from the whole valley, including Baritone and narrator Garry Gable, a massive youth shoe and the OSO players.

After a lively introduction to Leroy Anderson's Christmas Festival, three classic stories come to life on stage: Dylan Thomas's charming memories of his boyfriend's holiday in Wales, the earliest descriptions of Santa Claus in Twas Night Before Christmas and Dr. Seuss classic "How Grinch Chairs Christmas."

Okanagan Symphony Youth Chorus will also play with the orchestra.

"Singing with OSO is a completely different experience. It's so exciting to be part of something bigger than us, and to hear our vocal parts played in the various instruments," says Charlotte Cruse, KSS student.

OSO Music Director Rosemary Thomson says: "I can not wait to share the scene with our Okanagan Symphony Youth Chorus and guest artist Garry Gable (who will channel their inner Boris Karloff) as we bring these classic stories to musical life. A joy to repeat these pieces, and I'm so excited to share the spirit of the weekend with our audience for a fun party. "
