French people worried but poorly informed …
Diabetes occurs through an excess of sugar in the blood due to lack of insulin. It can be genetic, physiological (overweight, hormonal) or induced by human life. It is a serious disease that without proper treatment can lead to heart disease, blindness, impotence and even amputations.
Diabetes is a global plague and our country is not afraid: 3 million French people are now diabetic. To this number is added diabetics who do not know each other, more than 700 000 French. Every day, nearly 400 new patients are diagnosed and by 2020, the number of treated persons will have doubled in Hexagon.
