Sarah Ferguson Reflects On Her Daughter, Princess Eugenie, Wedding.
It has been almost a month since the princess of York and Jack Brooksbank became married to the world, and her mother is still tearing up and thinking just about the wonderful celebration.
"I always went to a wedding and thought," why the groom is crying? "But I fully understand why now" shared the 59-year-old Duchess of York in an interview with Daily mail published on friday. "It's because it's so amazing to think your daughter is now an adult, leaves home and begins her own life."
"I had just looked down at the chapel and everyone saw I went" jus "because I did not manage to slip over my high heels," she continued. "Then I looked over and saw my sister [Jane] and I looked at her face and there were tears – and I'll do it again, I'm enjoying now. "
Eugenie and Jack knoted the knot on October 12 at Windsor Castle in England. The bride looked incredibly in a Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos designer wedding dress who made a strong statement.
"My prettiest moment saw that Eugenie stood high, very proud to show her scoliosis in her low-backed dress," Ferguson told her daughter's ethereal dress. "I had gone to all the fixtures and sat there gloriously with joy and because there was no veil it was a very strong statement."
Eugenie dress showed her ears on her back from an operation she had at the age of 12 for schoolyards. Surgeon surgery changed her life, and she decided to honor it in several ways for her big day. In addition to free viewing, Eugenie also offered her NHS surgeons to the Windsor wedding.
She also chose to go without veil, a decision, Ferguson said, that they had been shown to be allowed at St George's Chapel.
"We called St George's Chapel to make sure there was no specific rule specifying slings must be worn, but it was not and Eugenie just wanted to be himself," said the proud mother. "Tiara, borrowed from granny, danced to her. She was just so brilliant. She said," Mom, I thought I'd have nerves, "but she did not."
Meanwhile, mother to two is beyond happy for her daughter and her new son-in-law. "She and Jack are only meant to be. He loves her, and now I have a son." Jack is like Zebedee. Boing, boing! " She said. "He will be the best consortium that Prince Albert was in Queen Victoria. I know it will be that kind of love match."
