The child declared for more than an hour and on the orders of María del Carmen Reuter, in charge of the specialized prosecutor's office in violation of sexual integrity in the province, and was hospitalized where she will receive medical and psychological attention from specialists.
Legal sources reported it the girl did not indicate if she would like to interrupt the pregnancy, an option being considered if a series of legal actions is followed.
"The law states that the pregnancy of a rape victim can be interrupted, but for this to happen, justice must intervene," says the executive secretary of the provincial health system (Siprosa), Conrado Mosquera.
The official clarified that after following the legal steps, healthcare professionals must confirm whether their mother's life is not at risk during pregnancy.
For this to happen, the child must ask for it and her father or guardian must validate it, even if this is a legal problem, since the mother lost the child's possession after it was confirmed that her partner had abused the victim's sisters.
The girl had, through the court's decision, been in custody of her grandmother and it is very likely that the woman will lose that condition after the abuse that her partner had committed to being condemned.
Prosecutor Adriana Giannoni, who must intervene if it is decided to terminate her pregnancy, is waiting for an official confirmation of the girl's health status and details of the pregnancy period. First it is said that they were 16 weeks and now it is speculated that it may be more than 20.
The girl's mother condemned in the province's eastern regional unit that her daughter was sexually abused by who is the current couple of the girl's grandmother.
According to the mother's story, the defendant took the opportunity to abuse the minor when he was alone with her in the house where she lives with her grandmother in the municipality of 7 de Abril, located in the department of Burruyacú, northeast of Tucuman.
When she learned what happened, the woman took the baby to a primary health care center (Caps) in the area, where she was confirmed to be pregnant.
